“Make every occasion a great occasion, for you can never tell who may be taking your measure for a higher place”
—Orison Swett Marden

Have you ever questioned uneven distribution of attainments despite the availability of common success tools?
Or do you think certain people are born with success while others have to labour for it? Funny enough, a friend told me that no one was born good boy or good girl. He said, “when a child is born, people will ask, ‘boy or girl’? Thereafter, their activities would attract the qualification: He is a good boy. She is a good girl. Maybe my friend was right. His model could be applied to success as well.
I think everyone can be successful provided we are aware of these three essential tools. Unfortunately, we did not pay to have them and it made it so difficult for most people to notice and use them well.
Mouth
Mouth is the asking or communication tool.
Maybe because we use it to eat therefore, we undermine its real role in our success journey. This tool of expression and communication connects or disconnect us with people. The great teachers, comedians, speakers, commentators, mothers, fathers who have used their mouth well have asked others to buy their inspirations and wisdom.
One way to know if the mouth is being used to ask for success is to ensure whenever it opens, it leaves others better than it met them. Here is the secret, it does not seem that we are asking for success when we are making the lives of others better, but ‘it is what it is’. You cannot enjoy your success in war and in the community of poverty.
In a high-level global project I was involved in recently, I learnt this principle about how donor organizations use the Offer-Ask model for sustainability. The point here is that, even the rich is asking for peace so she can live long to enjoy her riches. In fact, it is a real deal in social media space such as YouTube where the Youtuber will ask you to subscribe, like, comment and share.
Muscle
Muscle is the knocking or the implementation tool.
Perhaps the most recognized muscular part here is our hands. Everything that we do or implement with our hands or muscles signals a request to access or be denied other people’s territory. You can use muscles for war or for peace. It will either send a signal to open or close success channels. With our muscles, we create stimuli so that people can open their wallets in exchange for our handiwork.
Mind
Mind is the seeking or searching tool.
Unlike the mouth and muscle, mind is invisible. The fact that we cannot see it make it so special for success. Mind is an advance form of eyes. It helps us to figure out what is to be. It is a searching tool. I remember seeing this article with my mind’s eyes days before my muscle (hand) found its way on the keyboard.
The greatest damage we can do to our mind is to fail to communicate on paper or wherever, whatever positive things it sees. Successful Architect will acknowledge this valuable tool called mind. Why not be the architect of your own destiny
Bringing it together, crucial to our success is the decision that we make with the application of these three vital tools to success.
People hardly care how much you know until they know how much you care. It is imperative to make people feel better than you met them. I mean, sow today a seed with the right use and activities of your mouth, muscles and mind.
