Do something about your creativity if your progress is to experience geometric patterns.
Why?
In the 1960s, Prof. George Land was commissioned to design a creativity test to recruit the Scientists and Engineers for the Apollo 11 mission.
Thereafter, the test was administered to 5years old children.
Outcome: 98% of these children were at a genius level of creativity. Children are as creative as those who landed Neil Armstrong on the moon.
In 1973, they had turned 10years but only 30% of them were operating at a genius level of creativity when retested.
In 1978, they had turned 15years. Guess how many of them were operating at a genius level of creativity? 12%!
The test was administered to adults 25 years and above. 2% were at a genius level of creativity.
Professor George Land discovered that we have unlearned our creativity but learned non-creative behaviour for reasons best known to our curriculum designers and governments.
In this book, “The Pathways of Highly Successful Global Teachers“, evidence from research reveals what 23 global teachers from 20 countries did to stay above and beyond the limitations of our inadequate curricula.
One big lesson from here is that, there is no scarcity of opportunities because opportunity is an ‘effect’ whose ’cause’ is imprinted in the 98% creative ingenuity at birth.
The solution lies in our honesty. What we have in the world today is a large population (98%) called ‘trivial many’ with poverty of Imagination and weakness of attention.
Less than 2% of the population is known as ‘vital few’ creating for the entire world’s consumption.
Schools teach facts. Schools don’t have time for you to test Imagination and your willingness to fail. So, we conform. It leads to frustration in many and we submit to fate.
Things can change.
