YOUR NEEDS OR YOUR SEEDS?

The soil told the farmer, “Please do not bring me your NEEDS. I would appreciate it if you could bring me your SEEDS.”

The farmer offers the SEEDS without hesitation. Then the soil appeals for one thing: Please, I need you to be patient as I transform the SEEDS.

How long asked the farmer. The soil says it all depends on you.

As you read this article, I want you to think of a reality: The employee-employer relationship.

Most people do not figure this out early, and we all have short work lives. If you are an employee, did you know you are not employed to negotiate your needs? You are engaged to transact your seeds.

How well the seeds germinate and blossom depends on your capacity to leverage the water, carbondioxide, nutrients, sunlight, and all other resources within reach.

The moment you acknowledge you are a seed in any given situation, two things happen:

  1. Dormancy
  2. Growth

Dormancy

Dormancy is a status most people do not recognize. It is characterized by unlearning, learning, and relearning. It is your silence season: the period when you are viable but cannot spend your power also known as the workplace incubation period. If you force visibility during dormancy, you will be short-lived. I liked how Lao Tzu described it, Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.” At dormancy, you are the only person who knows you are not foolish.

Growth

Have you ever seen someone attempting to cover a flame with the basket? You cannot cover growth. Because you presented the soil with your seeds and leveraged available resources, the soil in return offers some choices: Branch out to establish a new plant on new soil, or stay here and live on the fruits.

You will succeed!
